AGE VACCINE WHAT IT DOES
At birth Bacillus Calmette-Guerin  
2, 3 & 4 months Diphtheria, Tetanus & whole cell Pertussis (DTwP)
Haemophillus Influenzae Bacterium (Hib)
Meningitis C (all by injection)
Oral Polio
DTwP protects against Diphtheria, Tetanus, Whooping Cough.
Hib protects against Haemophilus Influenzae which can cause respiratory infection and meningitis.
12 months Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) Protects against Measles, Mumps and Rubella (German Measles).
School age (3-5 years) Diptheria, Tetanus and acellular Pertusis, (DTaP), MMR, Meningitis C - (only if the child has not received this previously). All by injection, Oral Polio DT protects against Diphtheria and Tetanus.
School Age –
(10-14 years)
BCG (if not administered previously & dependant on local policy) Protects against TB
School Age –
(13-18 years)
Tetanus, low dose Diphtheria vaccine for adults and adolescents, (Td), Oral Polio, Meningitis C (if not previously administered)
