Dr Dogra has an interest in minor surgery and regularly performs procedures for the practice. He is especially interested in joint injections. He also has an interest in dermatology and takes internal referrals from his colleagues within the practice.

Dr Haider completed his VTS training at Garston Medical Centre, Watford. He completed the Certificate in Diabetes Care in 2009. He also has interests in learning disabilities and dementia.

Dr Khan has been GP Managing Partner at Kingsbury Court Surgery (Dunstable) and sister practices Eastgate Surgery (Dunstable) and Kirby Road Surgery (Dunstable).

He grew up in Luton having emigrated to the UK as a child.

He attended the local schools and then undertook his medical MBBS degree at Imperial College School of Medicine (University of London) and graduated in 2002. He has a long-standing interest in and extensive experience of commissioning and business management.

Dr Khan completed his Masters (MSc) degree in 2020 in Safeguarding Adults and Children.

He lives locally in Dunstable and is passionate about keeping general practice innovative and tailored to the needs of our patients. He is committed to keeping general practice as an integral part of our local Dunstable (and surrounding community) and a part of its rich tapestry.

Dr Khan is the managing partner. He has a long standing interest in and extensive experience of commissioning and business management.

Dr Khan is also a GP and provides some clinical cover during the week in conjunction with his management role.

Dr Khan studied Medicine at Imperial College London and graduated in 2002.

Jaya works alongside Drs Haq, Dogra and Haider and also Dr Khan (Managing Partner) in the management of the practice. Jaya is responsible for staff management​, rotas and is involved with policy development.

Jaya also oversees the day-to-day running of the Surgery.

Jayna has been working for the practice as Project Manager since 2022, and works on various projects run at both Kingsbury Court Surgery and Eastgate Surgery.

She has come from a background of Project Management, Events and Marketing for Pharmaceuticals and Charities.

Jayna is process driven and is keen to help the Partners and the Practice Manager with the running of the surgeries to ensure a sufficient and caring experience for its patients.

Rebecca gained her BA in Health and Social Care in 2017, and went on to complete her Masters of Science in 2018 in Public Health.

She is extremely passionate about and looks forward to designing and developing new ways to further enhance service provision.

Rebecca has a Level 2 qualification in Equality and Diversity as well as Domestic Abuse Awareness and Mental Health First Aid.

Rebecca has also completed her Domestic Abuse First Responder and Domestic Abuse Champion training.

As of 2026, Rebecca is now a Non- Clinical Safeguarding Lead.

Yasmin was born and raised in Luton and feels proud to serve the community where she grew up.

Yasmin is passionate about promoting wellbeing and positive lifestyle change. Alongside her clinical work, Yasmin helps manage a local women’s fitness group, Revolution Women, where they encourage and support members to become more physically active.

Outside of work, Yasmin enjoys running and cycling, which she took up a few years ago in an effort to keep up with her three sons

Dr Rasanayagam completed his medical training at St George’s, University of London, and continued training at London and Berkshire hospitals.

He chose to become a GP because of the deeply rewarding continuity of care it offers.

He has a particular interest in frailty and palliative care.

Outside of work, Dr Rasanayagam is currently navigating the joys of being a dad to a 2-year-old and loves spending time with his family. He is also the designated chef at home and enjoys cooking nutritious meals- Mexican is his favourite go-to!

Dr Rasanayagam likes to stay active and enjoys regular local walks to unwind.

Tracy Noblett has a long standing history of clinical practice and also supports with clinical management and nursing.

Tracy began her career training at the Barnet School of Nursing in 1982 and qualified in 1986.

For 35 years, she has been working in general practice across surgeries in Luton and Dunstable.

Tracy has been at Eastgate for 15 years and thoroughly enjoys her role.

She has special interest in Diabetes, Palliative Care and Warfarin monitoring. She also enjoys teaching student nurses.

She has many years of experience working in outpatient hospital pharmacy and community pharmacy. She is currently undertaking the CPPE PCN pathway and wish to become Independent pharmacist prescriber in the near future

Philip Sharratt (m)

Philip qualified in 1996 and works as a Clinical Pharmacist across the Kingsbury Court, Eastgate and Kirby Road practices.

He qualified as a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber in 2018 and has worked in General Practice for the last 8 years.

Philip has a specialisation in palliative care and pain. He has had a varied career, having previously worked as an information pharmacist and also qualified and worked as a Hospital Pharmacist in New Zealand.

Philip was born and grew up in n Luton but now resides in St Albans.

Philip is passionate about improving patients’ quality of life through medication management, ensuring they receive the safest and most effective treatments.

Hiba Ahmed (f)

Hiba is an experienced clinical pharmacist with a demonstrated history of working in the medical practice industry.

She has a particular interest and skills in:

Pharmacy practice.
Clinical pharmacology.
General medicine.
Medication therapy management.
On a day to day basis, Hiba:

Performs clinical examinations of patients to assess, diagnose or monitor a patients condition.
Carries out tests in the surgery to assist with a diagnosis.
Interprets test results to help reach a diagnosis.
Prescribes medication accordingly.
Refer patients to specialists within hospital departments.
Hiba consults with patients for a range of issues, including minor illness, CVD, mental health, asthma, pain management as well as musculoskeletal problems.

Arfan Bhatti (m)

Arfan is a graduate paramedic from the University of Hertfordshire.

He has worked for East of England Ambulance service as a frontline paramedic, with a wealth of experience in dealing with acute medical emergencies and urgent care.

He is trained to clinically assess patients with minor illness/injuries, assist in the management of chronic conditions and provide urgent assessments to patients in our GP practice.

He often carries out in depth health assessments, identifying patients at risk of illness and can provide them with advice and support to mitigate this.

You can also see him for matters you would traditionally see a General Practitioner (GP) for. Arfan can liaise with the GP/ Nurse as well as prescribe.

As well as in person assessment, Arfan often conducts telephone assessments and visits patients in their own homes.

Raksina Jan (f)

Raksina is an independent nurse prescriber and clinical practitioner and has worked in general practice for an extensive period of time. Raksina can assess and prescribe and refer for health problems and liaises with the GPs and nurses to promote holistic health care for our patients.

Healthcare Assistants

John Shaw (m)

John started his career in the ambulance service in 1980, in Luton. He qualified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in 1982. In 1990, he went on to qualify as a paramedic and moved to Dunstable station.

Whilst a paramedic, he has gained a high level of experience in the NHS in a variety of roles, which included working as an assistant general manager overseeing Northwest Hertfordshire, a single responder, as well as holding the role of an on call duty officer.

John retired after 32 years of service.

He is now part of the team at Eastgate Surgery and works as a Healthcare Assistant.

This involves performing blood tests, height/ weight checks, flu vaccinations as well as ECG’s.

Audrey Chaplin (f)

Audrey started with the practice in January 2021 as a healthcare assistant.
She completed her training locally in 2005 and has gained extensive experience.
Audrey worked for Luton Treatment centre from 2006-2008, and a HCA/ Receptionist from 2008-2014.
She has also held the position of Maternity Care Assistant, which involved working closely with midwives in Antenatal Clinics, on the Wards, in the delivery suite and in the community.
In 2014, Audrey worked with a surgeon in Harley Street. She went on to work for Spire Hospital Bushey in the Outpatients department, then onto Harpenden Spire in the theatre department.
In 2016, she returned to working for the NHS.
Audrey undertakes many duties within her role, including health checks, ear syringing, wound care as well as being a smoking cessation counsellor.

Are responsible for processing all correspondence for the doctors and other team members.

Training practice

We are a training practice and you may be offered an appointment with a GP registrar. These doctors are fully qualified and will have had experience in several hospital specialties. They are completing their specialist training as a GP.

We also teach medical students and sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present. You will always be asked beforehand if this is acceptable and you may ask for the student to withdraw if you prefer to have your consultation in private.
